Team Direct raised £4,385.53 for charity in 2012

For this years charity event, owner Tony Quinn and manager Les Carde decided to do a tandem bike ride for Cancer Research UK from Exmouth to Sidmouth along with their friends [hill Lea and Gary Miller.  The event took place on 21st October.  They started from Tesco in Exmouth dressed as French onion sellers and ended their journey at Tesco in Sidmouth.  The two tandems were kindly donated by Exmouth Motorcycles in Victoria Road, Exmouth.  They set off with a good start, stopping off at each pub for an orange juice between Exmouth and Sidmouthy.  However, when they reached the Rolle Arms in East Budleigh Les and Phill had a puncture but luckily a kind cyclist stopped to lend them his pump. so with the tyre pumped up they set off again.  When they reached the Otter in Collaton Raleigh the tyre had gone down completely so we had to call Exmouth Motorcycles and they came out to change the wheel.  From then on everything went well and they all reached Tesco in Sidmouth.
